Con Air (1997)

Now after the last three movies , it should be painfully obvious that Nick Cage excels at Crazy. But is that all he can do? No. For our next movie, movie #4 we went to a classic ‘Con Air’.Nick Cages’s character in this movie is very calm. Even when his character is forced to defend himself or defend others in a fight, he never really loses his cool. My favorite lines from this movie include: “put the bunny, back in the box.”, “now why couldn’t you put the bunny back in the box?” and “Make a move and the bunny gets it.” So yes, there’s a bunny. It’s pink and it’s stuffed.Although I did enjoy Con Air and Nick Cage’s performance in this movie, I can’t say that if another actor had been chosen to fill the shoes of the character Cameron Poe, that it would have changed the movie all that much. This is mostly because the focus shifts constantly due to a really good cast of supporting actors and characters. This character might not be as challenging for some other actor to portray , but I can see how it might be challenging for Nick Cage as it’s not his usual shtick. I applaud him for that & perhaps going out of that general type cast.
