After the last movie, we decided to do something a little more modern. The second movie on the watch list was ‘Mandy’. This movie is a mashup. It’s a little Mad Max, a little Hell Raiser, a little Manson family, a little Heavy Metal acid trip & a whole lot of Nick Cage. This movie is different and completely out there, but in a good way. The storyline is pretty basic, bad things happen to the love interest of Nick Cage’s character & he gets revenge. But it’s everything in between and the filming style used that makes this a really fun, weird & interesting movie to watch. Watch if you’re in the mood for something really different and almost otherworldly. I will probably look for more movies by this director & writer.
